The CAPiTA Matriarch, developed with freestyle snowboarding legend Torstein Horgmo, is a versatile all-mountain board built to perform from park laps to deep powder lines. Designed as a true park-to-powder weapon, it delivers a powerful and stable ride in all conditions.
Featuring a full camber profile for maximum edge hold and control, the Matriarch combines a tapered directional shape with the all-new Transcend Core™ and Fairmat carbon amplifiers. This advanced construction creates a lightweight yet powerful board that feels fast, agile, and highly responsive across varied terrain, offering confident performance whether you’re charging park features or exploring steep natural terrain.

Shape: Tapered Directional
A tapered directional snowboard features a shape where the tail is narrower than the nose, providing enhanced control and stability in deeper snow. This design improves floatation in powder and allows for smoother turns, making it ideal for freeride and backcountry riding. While it excels in one direction, the taper helps the board naturally guide you through challenging conditions.
Alpine V4 Directional is a pure camber shape with a smooth transition into a low tip and tail height. The slightly elevated contact points all the board to flex like it is a freestyle board yet still float perfectly in powder.
Sidecut: Blended Radial
HolySheet fiberglass construction uses engineered weaves designed for high tensile strength and low elasticity. By increasing the roving count without adding weight, it enhances overall strength, responsiveness, and durability.
For peak performance, tri-axial fiberglass is placed above and below the core, with carbon additives interwoven into the laminate. This advanced construction improves stability, ride quality, and durability while significantly reducing overall weight.
The Magic Bean resin system is a plant-based formulation with high bio-content, designed for low-impact production with no waste or greenhouse emissions. It cures at lower temperatures while delivering excellent strength and durability, allowing for a thinner, lighter wood core that increases energy return and overall responsiveness.
Topsheet: PLT Technology - Metallic Screen with Metallic Underlay
PLT Technology fuses the topsheet directly into the pressed board for a smooth, seamless finish with no visible fiberglass texture. It removes the need for extra lacquer, reducing weight and environmental impact.
CAPiTA combines advanced digital printing with hand screen printing to create vibrant, high-detail graphics. Using 16,000 inkjet nozzles and water-based UV inks, PAM16000 technology delivers exceptional print quality, while hand-screened elements add unique texture and depth to every topsheet.
Core: Transcend Core with 2x20mm Fairmat Carbon Amplifiers
Transcend Core™ is an ultra-lightweight construction featuring full-length Bamboo Power Beams for maximum strength, power, and response. This design delivers a lively, energetic feel with consistent flex across the board.
Fairmat Carbon Amplifiers combine natural flax with woven carbon strands in the nose to enhance reactivity and reduce weight. Together, these materials create a uniform flex pattern that is light, snappy, and highly durable.
Hyperdrive ADV XT base is made with a premium sintered polyethylene material for the highest levels of anti-friction due to the high molecular mass of this base. This base is extra thick for enhanced durability.
CAPiTA uses advanced laser-guided die-cutting technology to ensure razor-sharp edges and exceptionally bold, vibrant colors for their bases.
